The agreement between you and Check WoW when you use this platform.
Draft. This document describes how the platform is actually built and intended to operate, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet a binding agreement. It must be reviewed before the platform accepts public registrations.
What this platform is
Check WoW is an independent community platform that helps World of Warcraft players find groups and understand each other’s track record. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Blizzard Entertainment.
Your account
- You sign in with Battle.net. You are responsible for the security of that account.
- One person, one account. Additional accounts created to influence reputation will be removed.
- You must be old enough to hold a Battle.net account in your country.
Characters and identity
Characters shown as Battle.net Verified were confirmed through your own Battle.net sign-in. Do not attempt to present yourself as a player you are not, and do not misrepresent your experience to obtain a group place.
Reviews
You may only review players you actually grouped with, through a group recorded on this platform. When you leave a review:
- Describe what happened, not who you think the person is.
- Do not use reviews to retaliate for an unrelated dispute.
- Do not coordinate with others to raise or lower someone’s reputation.
- Do not include personal information about anyone.
Reviews found to be manipulated may be invalidated. Invalidated reviews stop counting toward reputation but are retained for audit.
Behaviour
Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, doxxing and impersonation are prohibited and will result in removal. See the Community Guidelines.
Reputation is a signal, not a verdict
Reputation figures are aggregates of other players’ subjective reports. They are provided as information to help you decide who to play with. They are not a factual assessment of anyone’s character or skill, and they should not be treated as one.
Availability
The service is provided as-is. It depends on Blizzard’s API for character data; when that is unavailable, some information will be stale or missing. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Ending your use
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms, and we will say which rule was broken.
Trademarks
World of Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
Changes
Material changes to these terms will be announced on the platform before they take effect.
